Colton's First day of Kindergarten

Colton's first day of kindergarten was Tuesday the 25th. He was so excited to go. He wasn't very excited because he couln't go first thing in the morning with Camrie. He is going to afternoon kindergarten this week, then next week he starts extended day kindergarten!! Brett and I are very excited for that to start! After kindergarten, Brett took him to get his stitches out. Colton was very brave.

Today was the second day of kindergarten. He came home kinda sad because of PE. Someone accidently hit him and got his lip, it started bleeding. They didn't do a very good job at fixing him up. When he got home, he had dried blood all over is lips. He is also sad because everyone stares at his lip wondering what happened. Tomorrow we will go talk to his teacher and have her explain to the class what happened and they can ask Colton questions so they will stop wondering and staring.

Colton's Lip Day 2

Colton doesn't want to eat today, the only thing he will drink is chocolate milk with a straw. That is all he has had since yesterday at dinner time. He doesn't talk very much and only plays his nintendo or the play station. He did have fun at grandma's. Colton got to but a nintendo game today to make him happier.

Colton's lip

Thursday night at 6:15, Colton was riding his friends bike in front of our house. He crashed and cut his upper lip in half almost to his nose. Brett and I took him to the ER. We waited for about an hour before they sedated him and sewed him back together. He has 12 stitches going from below his nose, under his lip, and up the back side of his mouth. He was pretty tough, he only cried for about 15 minutes. He didn't even cry when they gave him an IV. The part he hatted most was when they tied the rubber around his arm so they could find a vein. He threw up coming home. When we got home at 10:00 p.m. he didn't want a bath so I gave him a sponge bath and he went right to sleep. I am surprised he slept through the night and we woke him up at 4:30 a.m. so he could go to Grandma's with dad. He is pretty tough. He will get his stitches out on Tuesday.
