Christmas

Christmas was as usual very fun. It was a little different because Brett had to work from 8:00 Christmas Eve Morning until 8:00 Christmas Day Morning. On Christmas Eve, we went to the Fire House and had dinner and the kids opened 1 present (pjs, of course). Then the kids and I came home and went to bed to wait for Santa. Travin woke up first about 7:30 and Camrie and Colton woke up about 8:00. When Brett came home everyone was ready. The kids chose to open Grandma and Grandpa Greenhalgh's present first. They had to read a little story about the 3 little pigs and the baby pig went WII WII WII all the way home. They guessed it was a WII. The kids got church clothes, pj's, and a few other things for Christmas.

Carving Pumpkins

The little darlings have been begging to carve pumpkins for a couple weeks now. I finally gave in tonight. Hey Halloween is only 3 days away! They had fun and the pumpkins turned out pretty cute. Thank goodness for grandma and grandpa who supplied the pumpkins!

Trip to Kanab

We went to Kanab today. Nephews Davis and Landon were baptized and Cache and Clay were blessed. It was a very nice day and nice to see everyone again. On the way home we went through Zion. It was very pretty and the kids enjoyed it. We stopped at the candy store and spent 20.00 in candy! Can you believe that? We saw Elk and Buffalo and Colton thinks shoes grow on trees thanks to the tree in Toquerville.

The other day Colton asked me if I remember what Grandpa Reed looks like. I said yes and he said he remembered too. He looks like 100 years old because his throat moves up and down when he talks. Colton is too funny.

The Condo for Labor Day

We went to the condo on Friday night. On Saturday, Brett went to Fillmore on Saturday to meet the guys and they rode their 4-wheelers from Fillmore to the condo in Beaver While all the cousins played at the condo. Grandma and Grandpa had a treasure hunt for the kids. They had to go to various places around the condo to find clues which led them to Grandpa's trailer where there were toys hidden. The girls got doodle pony's and the boys got marshmellow bows. It was really fun for all. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

There were also huts made up there. The boys had a hut and the girls had a hut, they named theirs Taribithia. They had a table, plates, chairs, a teder totter, and a tv. They found everything they needed in the mountains, it was really cute!

Colton's First day of Kindergarten

Colton's first day of kindergarten was Tuesday the 25th. He was so excited to go. He wasn't very excited because he couln't go first thing in the morning with Camrie. He is going to afternoon kindergarten this week, then next week he starts extended day kindergarten!! Brett and I are very excited for that to start! After kindergarten, Brett took him to get his stitches out. Colton was very brave.

Today was the second day of kindergarten. He came home kinda sad because of PE. Someone accidently hit him and got his lip, it started bleeding. They didn't do a very good job at fixing him up. When he got home, he had dried blood all over is lips. He is also sad because everyone stares at his lip wondering what happened. Tomorrow we will go talk to his teacher and have her explain to the class what happened and they can ask Colton questions so they will stop wondering and staring.

Colton's Lip Day 2

Colton doesn't want to eat today, the only thing he will drink is chocolate milk with a straw. That is all he has had since yesterday at dinner time. He doesn't talk very much and only plays his nintendo or the play station. He did have fun at grandma's. Colton got to but a nintendo game today to make him happier.

Colton's Lip Day 1 After the ER

Colton's lip

Thursday night at 6:15, Colton was riding his friends bike in front of our house. He crashed and cut his upper lip in half almost to his nose. Brett and I took him to the ER. We waited for about an hour before they sedated him and sewed him back together. He has 12 stitches going from below his nose, under his lip, and up the back side of his mouth. He was pretty tough, he only cried for about 15 minutes. He didn't even cry when they gave him an IV. The part he hatted most was when they tied the rubber around his arm so they could find a vein. He threw up coming home. When we got home at 10:00 p.m. he didn't want a bath so I gave him a sponge bath and he went right to sleep. I am surprised he slept through the night and we woke him up at 4:30 a.m. so he could go to Grandma's with dad. He is pretty tough. He will get his stitches out on Tuesday.
